College Style began in 2010. Although we are a relatively new blog, we are committed to providing quality posts about what you want to read. We’ll only get better with time (we promise!) so stick around, comment on some articles, email us when you have a concern, and keep reading.
College Style began in 2010 when two Atlanta designers created two retail sites Deck My Dorm and Peace Love & Decorating. Eager to get in touch with college students and college life, they created a blog and College Style was born. Just one problem: although the “design divas” as they were called, loved fashion, style and decorating and were experts at dorm decorating, they knew little about the realities of college life — probably because the last year they were in college was around the time when Madonna’s “Open Your Heart” single reached #1 and when the first eposide of “The Simpsons” aired. They handed the blog over to one of the creators’ completely fashionable college-aged daughters, Lindsey (that’s me). Since then, I have transformed the blog into a resource for college fashion tips and college life by adding new writers and contributors.
