Greetings, world! My name is Lindsey Cook and I am currently a second year at the University of Georgia majoring in journalism and international affairs. I’m a free spirit and a complete nerd who loves combat boots, but hates war, loves traveling, but hates getting vaccinations, and loves Free People and Betsy Johnson, but can never find enough money to buy everything they sell.
Because I’m a writer, I drink too much coffee and correct people’s grammar on an annoyingly regular basis. My fashion icons include Audrey Hepburn, the girl’s of Sex and the City and especially, Marilyn Monroe. Although she would be considered a plus-sized model today, Monroe is regarded as one of the sexiest women in history and wasn’t afraid to flaunt what her mama gave her.
I drive a green VW bug named “the hippie-mobile.”
When people ask me if I was born in Georgia, I respond with “My great-great grandfather was born in Georgia.”
When I was younger, my mother had to inspect my room regularly to make sure I wasn’t harboring rescued animals. I got busted for that a lot.
I want to be an international correspondent for a newspaper and admire Anderson Cooper, The Great.
No, I have not seen The Hangover. Yes, I have seen Casablanca, An Affair to Remember, The Sting, and about every old movie you can mention.
